Cher Jean,

Juan Diego

Marriage

This is an essay I did for my Oral Communication III class:

I see marriage as a matter of religion. I do not think that a couple has to get married only to show they love each other. Church marriage is sometimes a bad decision. Some couples get married, but then they get separated one month later. Not all people that get married through church want to do it. Maybe their couple wants to do it, but they do not. There are other solutions such as Political marriage and living together. In my opinion, Political marriage is a good option if one really thinks you have to get married, but if not, living together is better. If one gets married through the law, then one will have the opportunity to get separated, but one will be affected by some laws, such as giving one’s couple half of one’s things. But if one just goes by living together, then one has no obligation other than moral and love. Once one does not love one’s couple, one can make an arrangement and have a good ending. Even if one does not achieve a good ending by talking, one can go on freely, since one is not legally attached to the other person. I think there are other things that gather people more than marriage; for example, kids. If a couple has a son/daughter, then they will be attached by a moral chain, and even if they do not stay together they will be attached to each other by their son/daughter.

Polygamy is another kind of marriage where law inflicts. In some countries polygamy is legal, but in others (Such as Colombia) it is not. I think polygamy is a bad thing. One stays with someone because of love. In my opinion one can not love plenty of women at the same time. Maybe one feels attracted by some other women, but it is not true love; that is why I do not approve

I have no problem with the next kind of marriage in my list: Gay marriage. I think everybody has the opportunity to choose what they want to do. As long as it does not affect other people in a bad way, they should be able to do what they want. This case applies to gay marriage. In most of the countries gay marriage is forbidden. I think it should not be forbidden. As far as the gay couple’s relationship does not affect anyone else in a bad way, then it should be legal. I think it is forbidden mostly because of religion. People think that God made women for men and vice versa. When they think of a gay couple, they see it as an attack to God’s nature, but I do not agree with it.

In conclusion, there are many kinds of marriage. Although I do not agree with all of them, people are free to do what they want, as long as they do not affect anyone else in a bad way.

Windows Vista

Well, recently I installed Windows Vista Beta2, I had spyware and I wanted to get rid of it. That Windows is amazing!!! It is beautiful and the interface is very friendly. The only problem with it is that it requires a lot of hardware in order to work properly. It is going tobe out (The Final Version) in 2007 (From Jan to March) and we will be able to buy it. It will also come with new PCs.

I liked its layout a lot, but it was slow and I did not have sound, it did not recognize my sound card, so I uninstalled it and went back to Windows XP. After the change I went to IFSZ andthere I found some news, Microsoft had released a secret theme for Windows XP they did before. It is black and very similar to Windows Vista, and it is original from Microsoft, you do not need to install any themes program to use it. I installed it and it is amazing!!! :-D

I also get the new Windows Media Player 11, it is beautiful. The final version is now available at Microsoft’s page. You will need to have an original copy of Windows XP (And Service Pack 2) in order to install it. It is also black, very interactive and beautiful. The library is amazing and very useful and the navigation was enhanced, it is amazing ;-)

Changing topic, next saturday I will be at Paula’s house with some of my University mates. We will have a party for halloween, and we will have customs. I will be dressed up as Harry Potter, I hope to have a lot of fun :-)
